This is the third time I’ve painted this canvas. To me, it represents the journey I’ve been having in Barcelona for the past 5 years. Painting Simón Bolívar says a lot of how I was feeling in that moment. I felt like I was conquering spaces, I felt very powerful to be able to afford a canvas this size. It’s my biggest painting yet and it’s a move forward for me as an artist.
